"Get Well Morgane"

Okay..so one of my best friends Morgane moved to Idaho two years ago. We are still best friends but for the last few months we haven't talked. I guess because I have been so busy. The other day our friend Ann got a call. Thinking it was Morgane she said "Hey Morgie!" It was her mom. Morgane is in the hospital, she had a seizure and went in to a coma. She is awake now but she doesn't remember anybody or anything and her brain is expanding. I really want to go visit her, but I don't have the money. Besides, she wouldn't even remember me or our friends. I don't think I could handle seeing her and her just saying, "Who are you? I don't know you." Doctors say that if you talk to someone with amnesia they're 80% more likely to gain back their memory. If she doesn't make it, I will feel beyond terrible.. Not being able to say goodbye, and if I do, she wouldn't even know who I am. She is so young. It really makes you think, anybody could die tomorrow. You just never know what life might bring. I just don't want to lose another person who I care about. But I do believe everything happens for a reason.

"Get this"

Okay, so I was an aide in guitar class, my former teachers name is Thom (Tom). So this is exactly what happened: We were reading an article on the Muslim culture for multi-cultural week. Everybody was talking. I was sitting next to Collins and Hunter, and Hunter whispered something to Collins and they both laughed. Thom then kicked Hunter out of class and sent him to the office. After he had left, Thom started to rant on and on about "If you don't want to participate in school activities and want to disrespect us, then you can go to a different school."

I was going to say, "It's not that we don't want to participate, it's the fact that this is a guitar class and everybody is ready to play." I only got to the word participate when he rudely interrupted with "Go to the office." This is what happened afterward;

Me: Excuse me? I would appreciate it if you didn't interrupt me. I will not me disrespected like that by any means.

Thom: Samantha I am so sick and tired of you always screwing around in this class.

Me: I'm an aide..

Thom: And you are the worst aide that I have ever had!

Me: Maybe that's because I'm tired of cleaning up all your shit. Me and Brandon are always organizing your stuff and cleaning up your room and grading your papers. You don't do anything youself!

Chris: Hey hey hey, maybe we should calm down.

Thom: I organize ALL my classes work!

Me: Ha, nooo..

Thom: You know what Samantha? Get out of my class, you are kicked out, and fired from being an aide.

Me: GOOD. I'll be glad to leave.

So now I have study hall. But other than that, this week has been great. I enrolled in some online classes so I can graduate early. And a man named Zain came to our school yesterday. He is a photographer and he spoke to us about life in his country. He's been in America for three years now and attends college in my town. He's really cool, and he has worked for Victoria Secret, and has done photo shoots for many other companies and labels. Mainly couture and high fashion though. I talked to him and he said that he will do a photoshoot for me when I start up my website and what not for free. :)

"Bye Bye Valentino"

I was having such a great day today. We were in 6th period science blowing up glass with a blowtorch, when my friend Emily mentioned to me that Valentino is retiring! x[ I was so upset, it's a sad day in the fashion industry when someone like him is willing to stop creating such beautiful works of art such as his clothing. I know that he has left his mark on many red carpets, catalogs, and fashion history. I hope that he doesn't give up fashion for good, and maybe one day he will return. Hopefully though, the house will still remain and continue on without him. Like Chanel. To me, Valentino Garavani will always be one of the greates designers of all time. He claims he has gotten "Bored" with the fashion industry because there is not enough creativity and too much buisness. I have to agree, but in my opinion, such great designers such as himself and Oscar De La Renta could really build up fashion again. To some people, the industry is all about buisness and money. But to me, it's about expressing who you are, the creativity, and the fact that is just fun and exciting. I can't wait for Fall 2009. When Oscar De La Renta's line for Fall will be coming out. http://www.oscardelarenta.com/?folderId=/collections/readytowear/Fall2009
Check it out!

"Fashion school"

Okay so my dad is enrolling me in a fashion school for teens called Edmonton. The tuition is around 200-300 dollars I think. I'm really really excited. Since I have been designing clothing since I was about 6 years old and I am now 15. I can't wait to start attending classes online, even though I'll still be going to my regular high school. I think this is a great step for me to make in my career, and it will also look great on my college application. I'm hoping to go to London College of Fashion or either F.I.T or Parsons. Edmonton is located in Chicago and Toronto. We go to both of those places a lot so when we go next time I'm seeing if I can sit in on some classes and such. We're trying our hardest to get my online store up, but with the economy the way it is it's pretty hard. For thirty minutes each day I am going to sit down and work on that.
Other than that, this week hasn't been very eventful. I took the FCAT, and it wasn't that hard but I'm glad it's over. Incase you don't live in Florida and don't know what it is, it is a long test that basically determines wether you pass the grade or not. Well, I guess this is it for my first post. There are hotdogs in the kitchen calling my name. :)
